The moment one enters H.H. Shri Ramkrishna Kshirsagar Maharaj's Shri Dattakshetra architecture, an aura of divine consciousness is experienced. Being to the cognizant of the fact that in this era of Kaliyuga devotees would require a constant Divine support , H.H. Sadguru had resolved to build Shri Dattakshetra and in 1999 even after HE left for the Eternal abode, HE got this work done through his devotees.

As per Sadguru's resolution, on 26th January 1995 at the holy hands of Sringeri Peeth Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharatiteertha Mahaswami Bhoomi Poojan (Formal worship ritual of the construction site land) of the Temple land was done. After this on 30th October 2002 the Temple's Foundation stone was laid. Next 5 years the temples work was completed. On the auspicious day of Jeshtha month of Hindu calendar on the twelfth day of the second fortnight , wednesday (Shaka 1929) -11th July 2007 in the morning at 9.17 am, at the sacred hands of Sri Sringeri Peethadheeshwara Sri Sri Sri Bharatiteertha Mahaswamy, the Divine Idol of Lord Dattatreya was consecrated.

While performing this Pranapratishtha according to the tradition 1) Atmashuddhi (Self Purification) 2) Mandappratishtha (Initiation or erection of the pavilion) 3) ShantiHoma( fire rite for quelling calamities) 4) Agniuttan 5) Jaladhiwaas 6) Shayyadhiwaas 7) Mukhya Homa 8)Praasadhiwaas 9) Pranprathishtha and 10 ) Tattvanyas Homa according to the Shastras were performed. After these rituals the Idol is consecrated and established there to fulfill the wishes of the devotees. After this at the sacred Hands of Mahaswamy the Kalashabhishek and Dhvajarohan(Hoisting the Flag of Dharma ) was done. An unheard of or unseen of, Holy festive celebrations took place from 7th July to 14th July 2007 in a pure environment . In these seven Days many Yagyas like NavaKundi Yag, Mahavishnu Yag, Maharudra yag were also performed. Almost 150 Vaidikas and around 5000 devotees participated in this eight day celebrations. After around 12 years in 2018 at the sacred hands of Sannidhanam Sri Sri Vidhushekhar Bharati the Kalashabhisheka of Shri Dattakshetra nd Shata Kalashabhisheka of Lord Dattatreya was performed.

The construction of this temple is made upof of the pink sandstone called Bansi - Pahadpur. The inner work of the temple comprises of Marble stone. This construction is done by the skilled workers called Sompuras and more importantly following the traditional Shashtras , no ironwork is involved in this construction.

This Temple is Two Storeyed . THe upper Storey holds the effulgent Idol of Lord Dattatreya and the lower storey houses the Adhisthana of H.H. Shri Ramkrishna Kshirsaga Maharaj. Here you can have sparshadarshan of the Holy padukas of the Lineage (Guruparampara). The Idol of Lord Dattatreya is Trimukhi and is Vishnurswaroopi(Form of Lord Vishnu). This Idol is worshipped by Vedic rituals three times a day. In front of Lord Dattatreya the idols of Lord Balakrishna, Shri Chandramouleshara, Shri Shaligrama, Shri Prasanna Ganapati, Shri Dattatreya, Shri Mahalakshmi,Shri Yantra are also worshipped. The pavilion (mandapa) in front of the Garbhagruha( Sanctum Sanctorum) is decorated with inticate carving designs. Here the devotees who are seated experience a divine peace . Devotees can perform ritual worships like Rudra, Laghu Rudra, Pavamaan, Kumkumarchan, Padyapuja etc. on the idols in the Garbhagruha and the Guruparampara Padukas either by self or through the priests by a Sankalpa ritual.

At the Adhishthana of H.H. Sadguru, devotees experience the presence of H.H.Sadguru and HIS blessings. The Padukas of the Lineage of Guruparampara ,here , have the Divine Shield(Armor) of Shri Kshetra Gangapur. The devotees seat themselves in the mandapa(pavilion) in front of the garbhagruha meditating invoking the image for H.H. Sadguru in their mind and receive his divine blessings.

On visiting the abode of Parama Guru ShriNrusimha Saraswati Swami at Shri Kshetra Gangapur , H.H. Sadguru recieved ParamGurus Chati ( Silken Clothing) as a Prasad. This Cloth has got the Imprints of the Holy Feet of Param Guru Shri Nrusimha Saraswati Swami. These are called as Chintamani Paduka . These imprints are symbolic of a Divine Place (Kshetra) and are open to Darshan to devotees only on six designated days of a year viz . Gudhipadwa, Akshaya Trittiya, Dusherra, Diwali Padwa, Gurudwadashi and Gurupratipada.

The compound of Shri Datta Devasthan bears a Kalpavrukha (wish fulfilling Holy Tree) which has three trees - viz. Banyan, Peepal and Fig tree outgrown from a single root . These are termed as Deva Vruksha ( Divine Tree). The devotees constantly experience the boons of this Kalpavruksha. Shri Dattakshetra holds the Divine Power and the devotees constantly experience these divine waves and inner peace here at Shri Dattakshetra.
